EA Sports has unveiled the latest Team of the Week (TOTW) lineup for EA FC 25, and it’s packed with exciting talent. The highlight of this week's TOTW 21 is none other than Cristiano Ronaldo, who receives an upgraded 88-rated card. This special release coincides with his birthday, adding an extra layer of significance to the celebration.

At 40 years old, Ronaldo continues to defy expectations, recently leading Al Nassr to victory in the AFC Champions League with a brace. His outstanding performance has secured him a spot in this week’s TOTW, reaffirming his reputation as one of the greatest goal-scorers in football history.

Beyond Ronaldo, the TOTW 21 squad features several other standout players, including Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly, Adrien Rabiot, and Kingsley Coman. With multiple players receiving two PlayStyle+ traits for the first time this season, this TOTW release marks an important evolution in the EA FC 25 Ultimate Team experience.

Cristiano Ronaldo Takes the Spotlight

Cristiano Ronaldo is no stranger to receiving special cards in EA FC 25. Earlier in the season, he was featured in various promos, including:

Globetrotters Item – Showcased his worldwide footballing influence

Total Rush Version – Highlighted his attacking prowess

TOTY 12th Man Selection – Almost making the official Team of the Year lineup

While his new 88-rated TOTW card does not surpass the elite status of his TOTY or Globetrotters versions, it remains a top-tier option for many players. Given the current Ultimate Team meta, Ronaldo’s combination of strength, finishing ability, and in-game presence makes him a valuable asset for any attacking lineup.

The Rise of PlayStyle+ Traits

One of the most exciting aspects of TOTW 21 is the introduction of multiple players with two PlayStyle+ traits. This marks a significant shift in EA FC 25’s Ultimate Team dynamic, ensuring that certain players stand out more than ever before.

Why PlayStyle+ Traits Matter:

Enhance individual abilities beyond standard attributes

Provide more tactical flexibility

Allow players to excel in specific roles, making team-building more strategic

Myles Lewis-Skelly is one of the first players in this TOTW release to feature two PlayStyle+ traits, making him a particularly valuable addition to midfield setups. As more Team of the Week releases adopt this feature, players can expect an evolving meta that rewards creative team compositions.

Key Players to Watch

1. Myles Lewis-Skelly (87)

Position: Central Midfield

Club: Arsenal

Strengths: Versatility, defensive awareness, and PlayStyle+ traits

After a stellar performance against Manchester City, Lewis-Skelly earns his first special card of the season. With two PlayStyle+ traits, he offers enhanced tactical flexibility, making him a must-have for many squads.

2. Adrien Rabiot (87)

Position: Central Midfield

Club: Juventus

Strengths: Well-rounded stats, physicality, and passing ability

Rabiot remains one of the most balanced midfielders in EA FC 25, excelling in possession-based playstyles. His TOTW card is expected to be a popular choice for those looking to control the midfield.

3. Kingsley Coman (87)

Position: Left Winger

Club: Bayern Munich

Strengths: Speed, dribbling, and attacking threat

Coman’s rapid pace and technical skills make him a nightmare for defenders. His TOTW card is a great fit for players who rely on fast-paced, wide-attacking playstyles.

4. Randal Kolo Muani (86)

Position: Striker

Club: Paris Saint-Germain

Strengths: Finishing, agility, and counter-attacking ability

Kolo Muani’s rise in real-life performances translates well into EA FC 25. His inclusion in TOTW 21 solidifies his growing presence in the game, offering another quality option for forward play.

Future Evolutions and the Power Curve

Many of these TOTW 21 players are expected to be eligible for future Evolutions, further enhancing their stats and usability in Ultimate Team. Players like Ronaldo, Rabiot, and Coman will likely remain relevant options for weeks or months due to their consistent in-game performance and eligibility for upgrades.

Additionally, with the introduction of more PlayStyle+ traits in TOTW selections, players will have more tactical depth at their disposal. This change ensures that the meta remains dynamic and provides more options beyond raw pace and power.
